Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez was born in the city of Havana, Cuba. Her family moved to Miami at 2 years old. Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez, born from Havana Cuba moved with her parents to Miami at the age of 2 years old. Ana Maria Polo was born in Habana in Cuba. She is currently hosting the Telemundo Show "Caso Cerrado", which is a Spanish programming on television that was nominated by the Daytime Entertainment Emmy Award. In 2015, she was also named the top Spanish-language show at 4pm for the key demonstrations. Polo was born in Havana in 1959. After graduating at Florida International University's political science program, she moved to Havana where she stayed for twenty years. After obtaining her PhD from the University of Miami she practiced law in Miami for over 20 years. She earned the PhD from The University of Miami, and later practiced law for 20 many years within Miami. Polo first appeared on television in 2001 with Telemundo's Sala de Parejas. She also participated in show on the court that utilized her expertise. Literature awards She released Los Hijos Muertos in 1958. The novel was awarded the Critic's Prize and it was also awarded the Spanish National Prize for Literature. Ana Maria Matute arrived in the United States of America from Spain around 1960. Polo regularly speaks, and she helps raise money to support the LGBT rights. Polo has been an active proponent of LGBT rights for the bulk of her life. She is a 1987 graduate from The University of Miami School of Law and a Florida Bar member.
